It is not uncommon in many Amber tables that the geometry and particular surface characteristics of a beam are the limiting factor and focus of the design of the whole table
In this case we had 2 short and very particular beams that had to become the soul of one of our pieces.
With a very large cross section, like a mother beam, and a very particular superficial carving at one of their ends. We do not know if the function went beyond aesthetics (probably they served to improve the adherence of some superficial element /plaster), but we wanted to keep them no matter what.
They were not long enough to build a conventional base, so taking advantage of their formidable dimension we went for a support with only 3 legs and the sections that were missing were built in the same dimension with steel plates, which we let to rust naturally.
